I have some amazing friends on here 🙂 I’m usually so bad at responding to awards, so I’m trying to get better. If I have forgotten an award, please forgive me!
IChristian has nominated me once again! These last couple of weeks I’ve really treasured his thoughts and his wise words 🙂 Thank you Steve for keeping me in mind and for thinking of me for this award!
Rules for receiving the Sunshine Award:
The amazing A Little Patch Of Heaven (Marty) has nominated me for the “Wonderful Team Member Award”! I’ve never seen this award before so I was so excited that she thought of me 🙂 She’s so creative and really has a fun blog so you should all check it out!
The rules are as follows;
1.The Nominee of the Wonderful Team member Readership Award shall display the logo on his/her blog.
2.The Nominee shall nominate 14 readers they appreciate over a period of 7 days, all at once or little by little.
3.The Nominee shall name his/her Wonderful Team Member Readership Award nominees on a post or on posts during 7 days.
My 14 Nominees! Love these guys 🙂
First off, I want to celebrate having 100 followers!! Thank you to everyone who chose to see what my blog is all about, and thank you for sticking with it! HAHA! If it wasn’t for you guys encouraging me and pushing me to do better, I probably would have given up a while ago. I know I’ve grown, and I hope to continue to grow each and everyday 🙂
Spring is here! Spring in the Pacific Northwest consists on sun, and then clouds, sun and cloudy again. So some of these shots are dimmer because of that. These were taken throughout my neighborhood 🙂
Happy spring everyone!!
He wasn’t sure about me, so he kept his distance lol
Obsession huh? I haven’t used that word sense I was in Middle School. At that time I was “obsessed” with pandas, the color orange and cream soda. Although I am still very fond of pandas and orange, cream soda is way too sweet for me now! HAHA! I was having a very hard time relating to this challenge. I had mixed feelings, different thoughts and I came up with a different way to look at it.
I can’t say I’m “obsessed” with anything anymore, but what do I HAVE to do? What’s apart of me that I can’t be without? Besides my marriage to my amazing husband, William, (He’s going to be a subject for another challenge later on) what can’t I live without?
My relationship with God is very important to me. He’s the most important thing in my life, my everything and I wouldn’t be me without Him. I thank Him for everything I have and put my future completely in His hands. It’s a healthy obsession, lol!
And also, of course, I couldn’t live without my photography. So I think this shot shows you both my “healthy” obsessions 🙂
I’m sad to say this is the last post on the Tulip Fest trip. I had so much fun taking these pictures and sharing them with all of you! These last couple are taken in two different ways, and I’m not sure which of the two are better. Could you help me? Pick which one you like the best 🙂

I had a few ideas for this challenge. I wanted something different, with each challenge I want it to give me warm feelings, something that means something to me. We’ve had a few warmer nights up here and in the evenings we will sit on the pouch and listen to the frogs close by. Summer nights are my absolute favorite, that’s when we relax, smell the amazing roses and listen to the frogs. I also, of course, love to have a glass (or two) of wine 😉 HAHA! So while sitting and enjoying a warmer evening we lit candles in mason jars and set them around our porch. They looked really cool! So I took my camera out there and, with William’s help of setting them up the right way, I think we came up with a really good shot 🙂 Of course I played with the picture a bit, I wasn’t able to make it look the way I wanted it to, but this one finally made me happy 🙂
While hanging out at the Tulip Fest, they had set up booths, little game areas for kids and a man who made wooden shoes right in front of you! After taking a few shots of the amazing tulips, we took a break and people watched, which is always fun, haha!

Love the angle I was able to get with this shot 🙂
I have been nominated for two different awards! I’m so happy that people think of me and like my photographs! When I started this blog I didn’t think anyone would have anything to do with me and my pictures.
Thank you andy1076 and Terry1954 for nominating me the “Very Inspiring Blogger Award”
They are both really amazing people! They are so inspiring themselves! I love their poetic words, I wish I could write as well as these two do 🙂 Terry, I’m so sorry that I didn’t post this earlier, you nominated me months ago and I’d completely forgotten about it!
Thank you to you both 😀
I have been nominated before for this, so I won’t go through all the questions and everything, but I will nominate people who are inspiring in my eyes 🙂
THROUGH THE HEALING LENS
These people really put me in awe and I always walk away wanting to be a better person 🙂
Now the amazing IChristian has nominated me for the “Reality” Award! I have never even seen this one before and I was so happy that he thought of me 😀 I love his strong faith in God and you can just see his bright spirit coming off his words 🙂 I really appreciate all the great people I’ve met on here.
Those who are blessed enough to receive this award, are asked to post the picture of the award on their blog and link back to the person who nominated you.
There are 5 questions that go along with this award so here goes…
- If you could change one thing, what would you change? This is a hard one, I really don’t know what I’d change, there’s soooo much! If I could, I want people to treat others the way they want to be treated. If people want respect and love, then show others that you are willing to give it back!
- If you have just one book with you on a deserted island, what would it be? Definitely the Bible. That’s the most important book you could ever get a hold of. I love all my books, but the Bible is the only one worth reading 🙂
- What is one thing that really scares you? I’m constantly scared of not being good enough, not only for God but for everyone in my life. It’s a huge fear of mine.
- What is one dream you have not completed, and do you think you will be able to complete it? I have been trying for years to write something successfully HAHA! I have some short stories and a failed novel. I want to finish writing, to complete either enough for a short stories book, or to complete a novel.
- If you could meet any TV or movie star who is still alive, who would it be? Awww still alive? Hmmmm… ok I’m going to be nerdy and say Maggie Smith LOL! I think she’d be a lot of fun to chat with 🙂
Here are the amazing people I’d like to nominate for this award 🙂

This one I almost laughed at, the entire state of Oregon is green! I looked outside, especially this time of year, and I can’t see anything that’s not green! I wanted to make it more interesting and it took my a few days to come up with what I wanted to photograph. After days of walking around and thinking of something, I came across moss… everywhere! Moss is the only thing that stays green all year long here in the Pacific Northwest. Here we have it on our trees, sidewalks, porches, fences and even on our roofs! Even in August when everything is dried up, the moss is still there, green as ever!
So here’s some moss, not the most creative, I know, but it’s green and it’s everywhere! HAHA
Found this patch on our wooden fence lol
The “Alice in wonderland” effect, I came up with the name a while back because I love the idea of being small and walking through forests of flowers 🙂 So this is a mix of close up tulip shots and lower shots.
The “Alice and wonderland” effect 😀
I have two shots here for you, I think I’m only suppose to post one, but I couldn’t decide which was better. While driving on our freeway, it’s the only time you can see a lot of the sky! We live where there are more mountains and trees and the sky is limited, so these are out the car window, haha! Hopefully you like them!
Which do you like better?
This second one I tried to get your eyes more on the clouds than the ugly freeway below it, so I tried to make the lower half of the shot more of a silhouette.
