Sunsets are my favorite, I look forward to that time of day. In my opinion, the best view of a sunset is through a lace curtain 🙂 My mom always had lace curtains up either in the kitchen or living room during my childhood. I wanted to give you a better shot than just a picture of an orange glow through curtains, haha, so I tried very hard to find a place where you could actually see a sunset.
My little town is surrounded by mountains and trees… lots of trees. In order to see the setting sun you have to hike very far up a mountain, and then drive down in the dark, and the dirt roads up there scare me so this was the best shot I was able to get. I took my camera to a few places and this one was just so beautiful I had to use it.
A few years ago we discovered a little pirate village! I couldn’t believe how much it has grown, they have added so many more shops and it’s the cutest little village I’ve ever seen!
These shops were full of fun things to do, one of them was a glass blowing shop. We lucked out and were able to watch one that was happening as soon as we got there!
We have a lot of odd statues here in the Pacific Northwest, but I think this one might be the oddest haha!
I woke up thinking about this challenge one morning and while I was pondering about it, my answer was right in front of my face, literally. Our cat Stevie decides to wake us up every morning for food by putting his face right in mine, and he has these big blue eyes! My husband also has blue eyes, but Stevie’s are the first I see to start my day haha!
These are the last couple of shots I was able to get before heading to our next adventure 🙂 I wish I had more that turned out a little better. It was a fun trip to the aquarium that day, and hopefully I’ll be able to return soon and get even better pictures 🙂 I swear I’m always learning HAHA!
“Hey! What are you lookin’ at?!”
This guy was very entertaining HAHA
I moved up to the Pacific Northwest when I was 18 years old with my family, so all of my childhood memories are down in Southern California. I was thinking of food maybe? I really was having a hard time, haha! I finally came up with a board game my mom and I used to play with my Grandma called, Masterpiece. I was homeschool, so when I was really young my mom would do just about anything to get us excited about learning. Any game that was educational we would play. I have fantastic memories of my Grandma, Mom and me playing this game for hours. It’s a game of gambling and chance to see if the painting you purchased is worth the most or if it’s a forgery. What I loved most about the game was the paintings inside, there were so many from famous artist and the names of the painting and the artist were written on the back of each card. I learned the most about art and retained it because of this game. Textbooks never really stuck with me, lol, but this game helped 🙂
While visiting the coast we stopped by the aquarium! William and I have been to this one before, but I didn’t have my Frank (my Canon) with me yet! I was excited to share this new experience with him, and I believe he enjoyed himself 🙂
Photographing through thick glass was really hard. Next time I will probably bring my tripod. There’s grain that I just wasn’t able to remove, but other than that I think they look decent. Definitely could have been better.
Yes, that’s a little crab! HAHA
While driving back down the Florence coast we stopped off at a view point. It was such a beautiful and clear day I was so excited about these shots!
This is my new friend, he posed for a bit before he got sick of it and flew away lol!
