In the early evening hours I hear it calling me, a voice faint and haunting. I look out and see nothing but the black silhouettes, stretched out, powerful and tall. Instead of hiding, I reach out…
The woods have found me.
I wanted to let you all know that I’m very sorry I haven’t posted in a while! William and I took a last minute trip and I have only my phone with me! Haha! We won’t be home for probably a week, so this will be my only post for a while. I will be going through emails little by little while we have some down time, so you will be hearing from me 🙂 I hope to be posting soon!
Hugs and blessings to you all 😀
I ask the question, what could be better? HAHA! Kidding, but wine tasting is something that I love doing with William. This night I had my mom come with me and it was a lot of fun! There was live music from a local artist and it was just a nice relaxing evening. A great way to start the summer 😀
This winery is a small one in a cute barn, one of my favorite places to go 🙂
In front of their winery they have lawn decor and I couldn’t help but try to capture it 😀
I’m guessing this kitty belongs to the winery, it took us a while before he let us get close to him, but he was a great way to end the evening 🙂
My husband has these really cool pale blue eyes. When we were dating I realized they are unlike so many blue eyes I’ve seen! I wish my camera was better at focusing, and I wish I knew how to make them look better on Lightroom 4. I feel like they really didn’t show you how amazing they actually are, but hopefully you all like it anyways 🙂
I played with it quite a lot to show them the way I wanted. I took his picture at an angle so that’s why only the one eye is in focus. I realize this might have not been the best way to portray them both, but I like how it looks anyways haha!
While in Newport we were so excited to find out there was another Lighthouse there! Yaquina Bay was a smaller lighthouse that seemed WAY easier to live/work in. Because it was already propped up on the top of a hill, the walk up to the light wasn’t as high. The lighthouse was attached to the house that the lighthouse keepers lived it! Brilliant, I don’t know why they weren’t all like that lol!
We got there right before they closed so I didn’t get the best shots, and I’m kind of sad about that now, but the ones I got are still nice and I hope you enjoy them 🙂
As you can see the pictures didn’t have the best views of the whole house, there was little room I could stand and I didn’t have my wide angle lens… sadly. After the lighthouse we walked along the beach 🙂
Yaqunia Head Lighthouse was in view down the coast 🙂
With these challenges I’ve been taking the photos as the challenges were brought to my attention, which is how it should be, but with this one, I had a certain thing in mind.
Family! I love them all, even the in-laws 😉 I took a family portrait of my parents, brothers, William and me so this first shot is fairly recent. We haven’t seen William’s family in a few months, so these photos aren’t recent ones. I love every single family member, I couldn’t live without any one of them 😀
My brother Eric, Mom, my brother Ryan, Dad, William and me 🙂
My amazing Papa 😀
William’s mom Nancy, sister Hailey and her husband Eric
William’s oldest sister Ashley and her oldest Son Logan
William’s nephews Seth and Logan! I’ve posted this picture before, but I had to again, it’s my favorite! HAHA! They just melt my heart 😀
William and his Step Dad, Wes right after a “Mud Run” HAHA
As some of you know, I just recently got an iPhone, it’s been fun trying new things and playing around with Instagram. It’s not quite like Frank (my Canon) but it’s been fun to experiment with every so often. I thought I’d post a few of my favorite pictures 🙂
