Another Lighthouse Sighting!

While in Newport we were so excited to find out there was another Lighthouse there! Yaquina Bay was a smaller lighthouse that seemed WAY easier to live/work in. Because it was already propped up on the top of a hill, the walk up to the light wasn’t as high. The lighthouse was attached to the house that the lighthouse keepers lived it! Brilliant, I don’t know why they weren’t all like that lol!

We got there right before they closed so I didn’t get the best shots, and I’m kind of sad about that now, but the ones I got are still nice and I hope you enjoy them πŸ™‚

As you can see the pictures didn’t have the best views of the whole house, there was little room I could stand and I didn’t have my wide angle lens… sadly. After the lighthouse we walked along the beach πŸ™‚

  1. I love the photo looking out of the window across the ocean. Just brilliant πŸ™‚ the black and white give the photos such character. πŸ˜€ looking forward to seeing more

      1. Yeah it must be lovely to live so near to such beautiful landscapes and lighthouses!
Sarah too has always loved lighthouses for as long as i’ve known her, which is why chose to stay in the lighthouse for our honeymoon and then for the next 5 years worth of anniversaries! lol. πŸ˜€

  2. Lovely pictures, Amanda. I love lighthouses too. Is this lighthouse still manually operated? Most of the lighthouses here in Holland are now automated so the old charm has given way to technology. πŸ˜‰

  3. LOVELY shots! We came across three lighthouses on our trip last week, but couldn’t go into any of them. How fun to come home, catch up on your blog, and see these! πŸ™‚
