Some of my favorite shots from last year were at the car show, I was so excited to capture them and share their beauty 🙂 This year it was during the day so the sun wasn’t where I wanted it to be, but I didn’t really have a choice. I think they still turned out really well.
Here in the Pacific Northwest the weather has been crazy! It’s been really hot! We usually don’t get this hot weather until the middle of August and it’s been like this most of July! Thank goodness during the car show it was a little cooler. This sunshine is making me exhausted and I think I’ll be relaxing today 🙂
This one was my favorite!
Isn’t it beautiful? 😀
More to come 😀
While at our Bohemia Mining Days they had a little skit going on about the old west. It was in the middle of the park with a bunch of caution tape around them. They had guns with blanks in them so it still made the sound and looked really cool! It was a little disorganized, so when it ended no one really knew it did, they just laughed and I loved seeing them have so much fun with it! I adjusted them to have a more “old time” look to them.
This is, by far, my favorite shot of the weekend!
They were demonstrating how the guns worked.
Bad guy dies, everyone’s happy, the end! HAHA
“Bohemia Mining Days celebrates Cottage Grove’s colorful history. The town went all out to celebrate the centennial of Oregon statehood in 1959. In fact, Grovers and their guests had so much fun that year, a group of civic-minded individuals determined there should be an annual celebration highlighting Cottage Grove’s interesting past… and Bohemia Mining Days was born! The family-friendly festival is organized by a board of community-minded volunteers who work closely with the Festival Coordinator throughout the year to ensure this annual summer tradition lives on for future generations to enjoy.”
Yesterday we walked down to this celebration and it was crazy busy like every year! It’s very fun and I didn’t get as many pictures as I’d like, but these few were fun and I thought you’d all like them 🙂
They had a costume competition!
A pie eating contest!
More to come!
McMenamins in a restaurant/pub company that have places all over Oregon. They like to use old historical buildings and transform them into cozy breweries. We had been to one in Eugene that used to be an old 1900 house, it was small, but a fun experience! We saw there was one not too far from us in Roseburg, and decided to check it out. This location was an old Train Station!
I was able to find an old photo of the station online…
Here’s what the building looks like today 🙂
I tried to give you guys a good idea of what the place looked like on the inside. The ceiling had different types and styles of lights and ceiling fans! With unique and home style surroundings, you never want to leave 🙂
I want to say I’m sorry to everyone for not keeping up with your blogs and for not posting mine as often as I should. It’s been a rough couple of weeks. Just normal life stuff, and I have up and down days, some days I go through both lol! It’s been a struggle, but God has proven that He’s with us. We are being tested and most of the time I feel like I’m failing.
This was taken a while ago and it was the weirdest rainbow I’d ever seen! Have any of you seen this before? The clouds made those streaks across it, I wish it was a clear day so that it would have come out better.
William and I had to make a quick trip down to So Cal for a few days, and while we were there we got to see William’s nephews Logan and Seth! I took portrait shots of them last summer, so you might remember these two cuties 🙂 They are so sweet and growing up WAY too fast! William went swimming with them, I hate getting wet… lol, so with Frank (my Canon) by my side we got some pretty amazing shots 😀
Seth is only 2 years old and he is just leaping into the pool! This kid is fearless!!
Logan’s first time jumping in the deep end!!
Me and my boys 😀
I am so sorry that my 30 day challenge is turning into a 3 month challenge HAHA! During the summer we do so many things before the rains come back that I want to share everything I do! This one was the obvious choice because it’s the only good habit William and I have 😛
We try to take long walks every night after dinner, it’s so peaceful and we have some really great conversations during them 🙂 The first one is more of what the challenge is about and the second one is more of an artsy touch.
This 4th of July we decided to BBQ! It was a lot of fun and I was able to get some fun pictures 🙂 Another fun tradition is watching, The Twilight Zone marathon, which I have seen every 4th of July for as long as I can remember.
Here are a few glimpses of our holiday 🙂 I hope you all had a safe and fun day as well and I can’t wait to see what pictures you guys were able to come up with 🙂
We broke open glow sticks and poured them into jars! HAHA! It worked a little.. lol
First attempt! This was the first time I’ve photographed any fireworks ever!
Played with a sparkler!
You guys are going to think I’m a lush, but yes, this is another post about wine, lol! William took me to one of my favorite wineries, Sweet Cheeks, and it was a gorgeous evening. I’ve posted of this winery once before, but the views were just amazing I couldn’t help but share them with you all 🙂
While on a neighborhood walk I decided to capture a tree in a different way with a different angle.
As we were looking up to the trees we saw this little guy! My first successful squirrel shot, although not very impressive to most, I was happy with it. HAHA!
