Crater Lake’s Different Features

As I’ve mentioned in my last post, Crater Lake had an unexpected snow storm and there was only one view point open. This entrance to the lake also had a hotel, I really should have gone inside of it, but it had started snowing again right after these shots and we didn’t have chains for our tires. So we made the trip extremely short, but I got some really great pictures. These are a few different looks of the place we were exploring.

Here’s the hotel

  1. Can’t believe you had all this snow already, we have just a little on the mountain tops, and I hope it stays that way for some time. Beautiful photos! But the hotell seems a bit spooky…?

  2. Wow, these are beautiful. The first one overlooking the lake is my favorite but, as usual, they are all lovely!

  4. Just found your blog when it was featured over on Leanne Cole Photography (hope I’m spelling her name right!), and that photo of Crater Lake caught my eye. I love Crater Lake!! Beautiful photos here!!!

      1. It’s one of my favorite places in Oregon, and you did a wonderful job of showing its beauty. Maybe others will want to come and visit it, after seeing your photos. I’ll be back!!
