Dorena Lake in Black and White

Hello everyone!

It feels great to be posting again 🙂 Life has been a little busy with this new job and just life in general. I haven’t taken pictures in soooo long. Yesterday was my day off and William suggested going to Dorena Lake. Now this lake is absolutely gorgeous… during the summer. During the winter, however, it’s drained to prevent flooding, so it’s very muddy and ugly lol! What can you do to make ugly areas more beautiful?… BLACK AND WHITE!

15 New Magnets and Postcards!

I’ve been trying to add new pictures to CafePress and using the older ones for different products. Looks like magnets might be more popular at the moment, so I added 15 new pictures to magnets and postcards!

Revisiting Moon Falls

My husband and I went to Moon Falls this time last year, but at that time I didn’t have my wide angle lens! I was going to go back this last summer to capture it, but life got a little busy and I ended up forgetting about it. Yesterday I woke up and told William, “We need to go to Moon Falls, I’ve been putting it off for way too long!” HAHA! It was a cloudy day and by the time we left it had started raining, but the pictures turned out pretty anyways. Not as beautiful as the last time I was there, but still happy to see it through my wide angle lens 🙂

Goodbye 2013

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope you all had a fun and safe New Years. This last year was a hard one on us. We lost my 12 year old cat, George, unexpectedly and then right before Christmas we lost a family friend. 2013 had so many downs that it was hard for us to find the good times. With all the heart ache and frustrations, I was thankful to have family and of course, my amazing husband William next to me during it all.

I’m hoping to start up some goals and actually complete them this year. I do love the beginning of new years, that clean slate feeling, the way you think you can do anything and it’s going to happen this time! HAHA! Lots of thoughts run through my mind, I just hope to accomplish some of them 🙂

These were taken New Year’s Eve around our neighborhood! My last pictures of 2013
